When Aimee settled in Australia in 2004 she decided to take her practice to another level and began attending daily Hatha Yoga classes in Manly studying under Mark O’Brian and James Fellow and gained her teaching certificate through Samadhi Yoga in Newtown under Katie Spears Manitsas. Aimee began teaching at Yogaways in 2008 and will continue to teach in the Hatha classes.

Jodi.

Teaching Apprentice: Is a teaching apprentice, qualified Journalist and mother to  Che. She is passionate about sharing yoga with pregnant woman and supporting them throughout their pregnancy, birth and beyond. She believes that yoga helped her experience childbirth in its fullness - she had a calm, liberating and beautiful experience. “Throughout my pregnancy Yoga expanded my awareness of my body, my breath and my connection to my unborn baby. From the very first moment that my belly began to contract I embraced the natural rhythm of labour and breathed deep. There were some words, some breathing techniques and visualisations that resonated with me and although it was an intense experience it was also incredible. My pregnancy and birth experience deeply effects the way I teach and my hope is that I can share what I know so that more women can experience childbirth as a natural and joyous event rather than one filled with fear. ” Jodi is currently completing her teacher training at the Satyananda Yoga Academy Mangrove Mountain and will focus her study and teaching in the Pre and Post Natal classes.

Whilst living in Brazil in 2004 Andrew commenced Ashtanga Yoga classes and discovered a true understanding and passion for the practice. He was amazed at the healing and transforming power of a consistent Ashtanga practice on his body, mind and spirit “I feel what is most important to understand about Yoga is that - it is your own practice.’
