The intention of yoga is the stilling of unnecessary thought and the harmonious development of the whole person: mind,body, breath and spirit.
The word Yoga means union, the practices of Yoga unite or yoke the mind, body and breath . Developing harmony and balance, physically, emotionally and mentally.
When the practices of Yoga Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath expansion), and Nidra (relaxation) are practiced regularly you enhance and deepen awareness of yourself and the world around you.
Asanas, the physcial science of Yoga align and strengthen the posture, increasing your flexibility, strength and stamina. Purifying your internal organs and nervous system.
Pranayama (breath control and expansion) expands your vitality and promotes a calm and focused mind.
Nidra (guided relaxation) relaxes the whole physical body. Restoring the nervous system, resting the internal glands and organs, relaxing the muscels, tendon and ligaments. Creating physical and mental well-being.
